Pinstripe fashion has always held a special place in my heart.
In the fourth grade, I scored a sick pair of pinstriped slightly baggy jeans from Zutopia (it was Wet Seal’s version of Limited Too). They made me feel like I could be Avril Lavigne or that I could really convince Benji Madden to date me one day (RIP to that idea).
Anyway, since those pants made me feel like the riot girl I always wanted to be albeit being a nerd in the gifted program at my elementary school, I am more than ready to embrace pinstripe fashion and its return to the trend cycle with open arms.
Here’s a pinstripe fashion look I wore out to dinner this past December, plus I’ve handpicked some cute pinstripe fashion pieces you might want to snag for yourself!
I started dabbling with pinstripe fashion when I got a cute 90s Dickie’s dress from Buffalo Exchange, plus a zip-up skirt from Bershka, but I feel like this pinstripe fashion suit from Dolls Kill is going to be my most versatile pinstripe piece, and I was already in the market for a suit I could make slightly sexy so this fits the bill!
In terms of the fit and pricing, I got an XS in both the top and bottom and though the shorts are definitely snug around my waist (especially after a three course meal), they work. The blazer is slightly oversized so you could probably size down if you’re in between sizes, but for the shorts I’d say size up if you’re in between. For $80 total for both pieces, the quality isn’t amazing. The fabric is super thin and the blazer would definitely not keep you warm if you were hoping for it to. That being said, since you can mix and match the pieces, I feel like I’ll definitely get my use out of them — I’ve already worn the blazer so many times this winter!

These are amazing in so many ways and are one of those pieces you can throw on with anything and look instantly cool.

Okay, I originally found these on Dolls Kill and added them to my wishlist, but then I randomly stumbled upon them on Amazon for over half the price! I felt like it was too good to be true, but according to Amazon they’re sold by the official Shelly’s London account, and there are free returns unlike on Dolls Kill. So…I’ll probably buy them and let ya’ll know how it goes. Something serious to be said about comparison shopping!
3. These Pinstripe Flares For Mobster Thot Looks
Taylor Pinstripe Skinny Flares, Boohoo, $15
If I hadn’t already purchased way too many pinstripe fashion things this season, I would absolutely buy these and I honestly still might because they’re only $15! I love the way they styled them on the model, but for a more casual look they’d also look awesome with a knotted-up band tee and platform sneakers.
4. Another suit — this one without a lapel + with pants!
Gabbie Pinstripe Collarless Blazer, Boohoo, $27
If you’re looking for a classic black rather than grey, maybe you’d prefer this suit from Boohoo, which is actually cheaper too! The top has more of a cardigan vibe since there’s no lapel, which feels less business and more pleasure.
5. 4 Tha Real Avril Stans

Okay obviously this looks pretty trashy with these jeans, but it could look so dope with black jeans, a vinyl skirt, or even under a suit like the one I’m wearing above.
