Are you looking for an honest, detailed Look Book Store review? You’ve come to the right place.
A couple months ago I had the chance to try a few items from Look Book Store (@lookbookstoredaily), and though I was skeptical, I was pleasantly surprised! Scroll for the pros and cons of my shopping experience with them.
My Honest Look Book Store Review
When I first scrolled through Look Book Store’s site, I didn’t see much that caught my eye, but I was interested in trying this one oversized blazer since I’ve been seeing similar ones everywhere and figured I could also wear it to work.
Here’s what I ended up selecting:
Grey Double-Breasted Flap Pockets Plaid Blazer
Black 3/4 Sleeve Mesh Strappy Neckline Top
White 3/4 Sleeve Mesh Strappy Neckline Top
Black Striped Button- Up Knit Cardigan
I really liked everything I bought. I specifically bought stuff that was supposed to be a bit over-sized because I was a bit nervous about them not offering XS, and everything worked out! The items are particularly good for me to wear to work—the sweater is so comfy for my freezing cold office.
Here are the pros and cons of Look Book Store:
The Good:
- Everything seemed true to size
- The quality was surprisingly good for the price — the blazer was pretty thin fabric and unlined, but not bad for $35
- Things looked the same IRL as they did online
- They offer XL and XXL in many items
The Bad:
- They don’t offer XS in most items (Nothing I was interested in came in an XS)
- Returns aren’t free, and it seems labor-intensive based on their website instructions (also, swimwear is not returnable!)
Outfit Details:
Glasses: Quay Australia High Key Mini in Black
I’m obsessed with these blue light glasses. I originally rented them on FashionPass (read my review of this fashion rental service here), and had to buy them myself. I can’t say for certain if they actually help my eyes (TBH my eyes were desensitized to staring at a computer screen years ago), but they really up the ante of any outfit I’m wearing and are really flattering.
Lingerie: EG LUX Jeni Bodysuit
EG LUX gifted me this bodysuit and it’s so freaking flattering. I wear it as a going-out top a lot. 10/10 would recommend.
Handbag: Chanel
I mean, I think you know where to find this if you want to — mine is vintage and was passed down from my great aunt.
