If you want designer shoe dupes so you can get the styles of your favorite luxury brands without the price tag, I’m about to let you in on a little secret…
I have been so busy with work and writing for other publications (if you’ve gone to my home page recently, you may have noticed that I’m now posting published pieces here too), that I haven’t written something for my blog in a while, but I got some cute pics on Tuesday night and I figured I might as well share a little designer shoe dupe secret…
If you lust after designer shoes like I do, you may have noticed that I’m wearing Louboutins in this photo, right?
Except, I’m not.
And I mean, if you saw me in person, you’d know they weren’t Louboutins, because the bottoms aren’t red (they’re not FAKES, they’re knock-offs, okay?).
But for me personally, it’s really not so much about making people think I drop money on designer shoes, I just really like the styles and want them at a lower price point.
I got these shoes from FSJshoes.com. They retail for $70 (and you can buy them here). Truth be told, they are not very comfortable – I end up with a blister on the back of my heel every time. BUT, damn do they look good!
And even if you think Louboutins are basic ever since “Bodak Yellow” came out, the site has a ton of other styles that look remarkably similar to those Valentino Rockstuds your friend’s sugar daddy just bought her, or those Giuseppe Zanotti sneakers that you saw on your fave Instagram model.
Here are some of my favorites on their site right now…they also sell some of their styles on Amazon.
1. The Black Stripper Heels of My Dreams
Every time I think of the types of shoes I need, I envision a super high pair of black stripper heels similar to these — and yet I don’t think I’ve ever purchased one. Maybe now is the time? Apologies to all the short kings out there.
2. These Glam AF, But Work Appropriate Pumps
These shoes bear an uncanny resemblance to a bejeweled dagger I got on a postcard from a museum when I was a kid. Do you think that’s why I like them?
I always love a good emerald shoe, but the problem is I have zero emerald in the rest of my wardrobe anymore, so the suede emerald green Miu Miu booties I bought on consignment in 2014 have gotten about zero wear in the last few years.
But if you wear green more than I do, please buy these so I can live vicariously.
3. These Subtle Valentino Rockstud Dupes
While these are not as killer as the aforementioned stripper heels, these would actually be super practical and I could totally see myself wearing them to work regularly. They also look more comfortable than my current pair of FSJ shoes since they don’t have the threat of tearing up the backs of my ankles.
BTW, here’s a link to the real ones for a chill $775.
4. These Louboutin Knock-Offs That Prove Nude Doesn’t Have to be Boring
If you’re a first time visitor, welcome.
If you’re not, you probably know I love spikes on basically everything. What better way to dress up a basic nude heel than with some seriously dangerous-looking hardware? These are clearly Louboutin-inspired.
5. For When You Need Some Ankle Bling
I can’t recall exactly what designer these are mimicking, but maybe you can.
Regardless, they’re really cute and would easily dress up any neutral-ish outfit.
6. These Comfy-Looking Wedges That Go All In On This Summer’s Highlighter Trend
Once again, I know a recognize this style from a runway shoe somewhere, but can’t put my finger on it (and does it really matter?).
These are great shoes to wear if you don’t mind giving every guy that hits on you an easy opening-line. You’ll also probably get a ton of compliments from women — which are always nice.
7. I’m Getting Major Charlotte Olympia Vibes From These…
I knew these reminded me of a Charlotte Olympia design, and a quick Google search proved me right. These are direct knockoffs of the Charlotte Olympia “Kiss Me Dolores” shoe.
The style once retailed for $975, but is now sold out. It also looks like FSJ used the same image on their website, which means it’s a bit questionable what the shoe you’ll get will look like. However, my Louboutins did not disappoint.
I feel like I might need these?
8. And Major Dolce & Gabbana Vibes From These…
Damn, I’m good for someone who hasn’t picked up a fashion magazine in years (don’t ask, I got scarred when I was working full-time in women’s media).
I found the originals pretty easily, it looks like they’re for sale for $561 at Neiman Marcus, if you’re into that.
Or you could just buy the version that’s under $100 and nobody will be the wiser.
9. These Are Perfect If You’re Trying To Feel Like Dorothy—Or Someone Who Can Afford Miu Miu
The upside is that these shoes are under $100, the downside is that even if you buy the $800 Miu Miu version, you still won’t be able to leave the club by tapping your heels together and saying, “I want to go home” — get your Uber app ready.
10. I’ll Close This List With a Little Old Town Road Vibes
Okay, let’s be honest — you freaking need these.
I have a pair of off-white cowboy boots I got from ASOS in like 2010 and I still wear them so much. If I wore pink I would buy these in a heartbeat. Please get them with my blessing.
Anyway, definitely check out FSJ Shoes if your heart says yes to those designer heels you saw in the September issue, but your bank account says hell no. I can’t vouch for the comfort level, but at least you’ll look good for an Instagram pic before you change into the flip flops from the trunk of your car!
As I mentioned, you can also buy some of their styles on Amazon HERE.
Also, this entire outfit (top and bottom) is from Melrose Trading Post. The skirt is from Purrrshop, I’m obsessed with their skirts. This is the third one I’ve bought, and I would def recommend their stuff if you have trouble finding stuff on the smaller side — I’m wearing an XS and they go all the way down to XXS (also, check this blog post for more places to shop). I forgot where the top is from, but here are two similar options in white from Revolve and in black from Forever 21 for just $11 . Ever since I’ve bought it I can’t stop wearing it, it’s great for when you want to be subtly sexy and keep cool — but not be over the top.
