Looking for an honest and unsponsored Missguided swimwear review before ordering a cheap bikini from overseas? I’ve got you covered.

To be honest, after ordering from Missguided once, I told myself I’d never order from them again. I ordered one of those silk slip dresses (because I thought nobody could f that up) during one of their many 50% off sales, but when I received it, it was a very different color and super unflattering. I paid $15 or so to return it, and then months later realized that I’d never gotten my money back. When I reached out to their customer service team, they told me they never received my return and they couldn’t reimburse me unless I had proof of shipping. My dumbass did not save the receipt from months ago (lesson learned), so instead of paying $30 for an ugly dress, I paid $30 for nothing — and I was bitter!

For that reason, I chose to order my Missguided swimwear from ASOS, a company that has free returns, fast shipping, and pretty good customer service (at least in my experience with them).

I’d never purchased a swimsuit from ASOS or Missguided before, but as you might know I’ve been searching for bikinis that cover up the incisions on my lower belly, and this suit was pretty spot-on to what I was looking for. I liked that it still had major boobage potential, had a thong back, and was high-waisted, but not high-waisted enough to cover my belly button (or so I thought).

I didn’t have high hopes for the quality (or fit) of the bikini, but I figured it was under $30 and worth a shot, especially since it’d be free to return it.

And honestly? I am so pleasantly surprised!

Missguided Swimwear Review: The Dirty Deets:

While the bikini looks completely different on me than it does on the model, I expected that part (and actually prefer the way it looks on me). One of my friends who was thinking of buying the same suit was worried about it looking “too sporty,” and I think if you’re curvier than the model on the ASOS site, you won’t have that look.

The color is a nice bright red and the fabric is slightly stretchy but still feels like it’s sucking you in in all the right places (this might also be because I probably ordered one size too small).

I ordered a US size 0. I probably would have normally gone for a 2 since I know Missguided can run small (as do most UK brands when compared to US brands), but I’ve had bad luck with online purchases being too big lately, so I decided to go for the 0. If I had tried it on in-store, I probably would have gone up a size or two in the top, since there’s definitely some squish action going on for me. But, not enough for me to deal with exchanging it, apparently.

Overall, I’d definitely order a Missguided bikini again. The price is right for the quality, and their suits are always on top of the hottest swim trends (which is perfect for the crazy swim trends you want to try for one summer and ditch the next). That being said, I would probably stick to ordering from the ASOS website rather than the Missguided site, unless I knew for sure that I wouldn’t have to return what I was ordering. Obviously, the selection is smaller on ASOS, but it’s not bad (they have 157 Missguided swim pieces currently).

I hope you enjoyed my Missguided swimwear review and that it helps you to figure out where to get your suits for this summer! I’ll update this Missguided swimwear review once I get some more wear out of the suit to see if it fades/stretches/pills…and hopefully by then I won’t be this pale! So sorry about that.

As always, if you have a suggestion for a blog post or review, comment below or message me!
