Goodbye Bread Swimwear Review: Was This Crazy Suit Worth The Risk?

July 6, 2018 by loxandleather No Comments

Remember back in February when I wrote a review on my experience shopping at Goodbye Bread? Well, they released a swimwear collection in early June, so I decided to try out one of their suits and write an honest Goodbye Bread swimwear review! Hope it’s helpful to you!

My Goodbye Bread Swimwear Review:

Here’s the suit I bought:

P*ssy Guard Cutout Swimsuit, $32

Honestly, this is not normally the type of suit I’d buy, but I’ve gotten to a point where I have so many damn swimsuits that if I’m going to get a new one, I might as well get something different (or might as well cover my lap scars — see here). The $32 price point was also super reasonable for something that I would never want to wear long enough to get noticeable tan lines in. Even so, I was definitely skeptical of how it’d look on me in real life.

Here’s how the suit looks on me (size XS):

Not to sound cocky, but I was honestly shook at how well this fit me and how flattering the cut was. Call me crazy, but my natural inclination is that a swimsuit that legit has a hole in the middle for your stomach wouldn’t be super flattering. Part of the reason it worked is because the suit felt like a true XS (which means I had major underboob action, but that was all a part of the plan). The fabric also felt very legit for a $32 swimsuit in that it was stretchy, but firm and gave that “sucked in” feeling.

I unfortunately didn’t get a good shot of the back, but the booty cut is cheeky without being too over the top for a family vacay, which is my personal sweet spot.

I sincerely wish the tan lines in this thing wouldn’t be horrible, because I want to wear it all the time. It was also the perfect suit to pair with real clothes for a night swim look while I was in Vegas (especially because at night I didn’t have to worry about tan lines).

Oh, they also make the suit in baby pink, which you can buy here. The only downside to keep in mind about Goodbye Bread is that they only offer store credit for returns, so just remember that before you go on a shopping spree!

Overall, I was really happy with the quality, price, sizing, and cut of this suit (regardless of my low expectations). Now I’ll just pray that this semi-ridiculous cut doesn’t go out of style anytime soon!

I hope my Goodbye Bread swimwear review helped you get a better idea of if you should snag a suit from them! As always, would love to hear feedback and requests 🙂
